Frinton and Walton Town Council submitted the application to have footpath 37 put on the definitive map of Essex at the end of August.
Above is a map (courtesy of Google maps) showing the route of FP 37 in pink.
This week Mary Morris of emailed me to say she was dealing with the case, but just needed to finish up on byway 45. An application has been made to delete from the definitive map the byway which runs from Mill Lane through the southern part of Halls boatyard to the Mere.
Eventually the application for footpath 37 will feature on this page of the Essex County Council website
http://www.essexhighways.org/Public-Rights-of-Way/Definitive-map/Definitive-map-review/Schedule-14-applications-Tendring.aspx
In the mean time you can read about the application to delete byway 45 under case 873.
You can contact Mary by email mary.morris@essex.gov.uk or phone 01245 506 719.
If you have ever walked all or part of the sea wall between Island Lane and Mill Lane and wish to see this walk put on the definitive map of Essex, thus being made a public footpath, I guess you can still fill in an evidence form and sent it to Mary (along with a map showing the route you walked).
